Happy Mother's Day

to all mothers who is reading this blog. This year I get to celebrate Mother's Day too, just in time for it.

Rachael (hubby's niece) was very thoughtful, she got both myself and my MIL a stalk of carnation each. So sweet of her.

Being the only child for 3 years we were initially scared that she would get jealous of di di. For the first few weeks, she would try to get our attention on her. For example by playing with her, hugging her when she is back from school etc. Recently it has improved, maybe she has accepted di di as a new member in the family. These days, she likes to kiss on Jerold's hand.

1st Month

Motherhood Life

Yes yes I been blogging mainly about Jerold these days but no choice. There isn't much interesting stuffs happening in my life right now except for Jerold. Now my time is all revolved around him. Feeding him, changing his diapers, coaxing him to sleep etc. That is what motherhood life is about.

I am not sure whether is it a baby thing or because Jerold is a boy, he always make noises, have different type of sleeping positions and stretches himself intensively until his whole face is red, even when he is sleeping. Below is the evidence. Haha!

Cake Delivery

As part of the first month tradition, hubby and I ordered a few boxes of cupcakes for colleagues. So we went to our offices yesterday to distribute the cakes. Inside the box, there is a baby card with a picture of Jerold and little details of his birth. Very cute.

Of course, he was the centre of attention in the offices. Haha! Everyone were delighted and eager to carry him. Hehe! He was also very good, slept throught out the whole journey and only woke up when we are reaching home because he was hungry for milk.

It was hubby's bdae last Friday. Cannot celebrate with him as I am on confinement. So I got my SIL to get him a cake. This is also the first time BB Jerold celebrate his daddy's bdae. Next time will be mummy's turn. Haha. I wouldn't get his bdae present in time too as BB Jerold had decided to come out earlier. Poor daddy. Never mind we will make up to him next year.

Many Faces

At the request of my sis, there is more photos of Jerold with his eyes open.

We have decided on his chinese name. Therefore last Saturday we went to do his birth certificate. He is now officially called Keung Deng Hang, Jerold (姜定衡). I guess he will have a hard learning to write his chinese name. Haha.

What I eat?

During confinement, there is alot of dos and don'ts. Whatever you eat will usually comes with ginger. Therefore my meals are usually consisting of meat and vegetables cooked with ginger. It was said that ginger is able to expel the air from the tummy.

All my meals are being cooked by my MIL. She really took very good care of me. I was even forbidded to wash the dishes as not to touch the water. She would cooked herbal water every morning, so that I can use that water to wash/clean myself.

The only thing I cannot tolerate is not washing my hair. I have to wait till tomorrow then I can give my hair a good wash and massage. Haha.

Fave Position

This is his favourite sleeping position. Look how he soundly he sleep with his hands up. He will usually try to wiggle out his hands if we bind him up with cloth. Haha!

It is quite tiring to wake up in the middle of the night to feed him. It is even worse when he decide to poo poo or wet himself and I have to change his clothes and diapers. Can't image how it will be like when I get back to work. But I guess all will be worthwhile when I see his little angel face. :)

1st Bath at Home

He wasn't too happy with bathing. Cried the moment his body touches the water. Stopped his crying once he is out of water. Haha!

Enjoyed looking at him especially his eyes.

Update :: Finally decided on his english name. He is now officially called Jerold Keung. His chinese name will be decided soon. Hubby is now on the way to the chinese guy who is a expert in naming baby names to get the list of names for Jerold.

030409 - Welcome to the World

My first child! He was born last Friday when I found out my water bag burst in the morning. He was born at 2119hrs as my cervix was not able to dilate and had to do a C-Section.

Welcome to the world BB boy. Still thinking of his name. But most likely will be along the pronunciation of "Gerald". He has double eye-lids! According to hubby and my mum, he had his eyes opened wide when he was been pushed out of the operating theatre. So proud of him. :)
