Gals Talk

Met up with the gals just now for drinks at Coffee Bean. Its been a awful long time since the last time we got together. Of course the central of attraction is the little ones, my little one and D's little man! Our conversation also centres around them. Haha.

Looking back, we have known each other for 14 years already since our poly days! Now, it is hard for us to meet up as some will be busy with work and some will be busy with kids. Wish we could have more time to catch up and have our usual gals gossips.

Sick

The little one had high fever on Sunday since morning. Gave him baby panadol but the fever did not subside, therefore brought him to KKH around 5pm to see the doctor.

We were there for 3 hours till 8pm. They gave him panadol and tested him for urine infection. Everything was ok, no cough, no flu, no throat infection, no urine infection, so the doctor concluded that it might be viral infection that causes the high fever.

The little one was super cranky in the hospital while awaiting for the check. Clamp to me like a kola bear and kept crying. He only stop crying when I let him play with my iphone.

The fever lasted till yesterday night and he is ok today. Yeah!

June Babies

Most of my close friends' birthday fall on the same month as me which is June. Therefore in view of the upcoming birthdays and Jina is back in town for a short holiday, we decided to have a early celebration. As usual the gals came over to my place for lunch and a quick catch up.

Tricycle

Yi-yi (my sister) bought him this foldable tricycle last month for his first birthday. It was being kept in the box until recently the little one took a interest in playing with the box. So I took the tricycle out of the box and let him had a ride.

I believe he is still unable to coordinate well his legs movement (other than walking) as he is only able to move backwards. Haha. Well he only ride on it for less than 10 mins before he decide that it is boring and wiggled down from it.

I guess he would only appreciate the fun of the tricycle when he is able to move forward. Haha.

Another Episode of Cheeky Boy

Photos taken at the wedding dinner we went last night at Shangri-la hotel. Look how the little one reacts when his 大表姐 wanted to take photos with him. Cheeky little boy! He never fails to cheer us up with his cheeky smile.

How?

I could not find a answer how he managed to climb into the walker himself and landed himself in such a position, with one leg in the walker and the other leg dangling outside.

This was the position I found him in when I came out of the kitchen thinking how come it is quiet in the living. Haha.

Remote

The little one loves to play with the remote controls. Look what he is doing in the morning the minute he wake up, walked into the living room and find the remote lying on the table...

[hmmm...wondering how daddy and mummy switch on the TV with this thing...]

[*looks up in the direction of the TV* the TV is not switch on yet]

[oh no...mummy has discovered me...no more playing]

Two Years

Our 2nd year wedding anniversary...I totally forgotten about it until I saw hubby's message to me on Facebook. Anyway, we did not planned anything special. Hubby and the little one came and pick me up from my office and we went to have their haircut in the afternoon. Thereafter we went to Bugis for a walk and have dinner at MOF.

[our food - the little one and I shared the egg and beef bento as hubby did not pack his milk powder and bottles out. He thought I have already pack everything into the bag]

[hubby commented that the chicken in this new restaurant is good! When we walked out it, there is a long long queue. Must find a time to come and have a bite]
Happy 2nd Anniversary Hubby!

Up and Down

After the little one had learnt to walk, the next thing he learned is climbing up and down the sofa.

Prior to learning to walk, he have already mastered the skill of getting down from our bed. His mama (grandma in cantonese) taught him how to get down from the bed by flipping his body and face to face the bed and push himself down, so that his legs will touch the floor first.

So after he started walking, either he is stronger or taller, he is able to pull himself and climb up onto the sofa unassisted.

For the whole day, he will climb up and down the sofa numerous time but each time he is unable to sit there for more 5 minutes.

Are most toddlers so active? The little one is just like a energiser rabbit, hopping here and there non-stop unless he is sleepy or there is food to eat.

Food Talk #13 - Noodle or Rice?

You are a noodle or rice person? For me, I am more of a noodle person because I perceive that noodles have lesser carbohydrates than rice. However, sadly to say, my office's canteen only have 2 stalls selling noodles food. Therefore, I have to eat rice stuffs at least 3 times per week for my lunch. As for my dinner, my FIL usually cooked plain rice with a couple of dishes, so I will limit myself to eat only half bowl of rice in order to cut down my carbo intake.

Safety Gate

The little one loves to follow me into the kitchen and start playing with the dustbin. I would pull him away from it but in the less than 5 seconds, he would walk back and start playing with it again.

So the only solution to prevent him from such a act is not to let him into the kitchen. Therefore hubby went to get a safety gate from John Little at a discounted price.

This is the reaction of the little one when he realised he cannot access into the kitchen. He was crying out loud, wanting to get into the kitchen. Sorry baby you cannot come in unless either daddy or mummy give you permission to come in.

Happy 13th month old

The little one seems to have grown alot and is hard to keep track of his progress now. To date he has completed quite a number of milestone :-
1. He is walking very steady now

2. He has 4 teeth and 2 more are coming out of the gum
3. He is able to drink from straw using his sippy cup
4. He is babbling some word (which we cant understand)
5. He knows how to wave goodbye

Still waiting for him to call me, mummy....
