batam

I went to batam with dear over the weekend, to be exact is 2D1N stay from sunday and back to spore on mon. Reason for us to be in batam is to celebrate dear's bdae and also r&r from work and monday blues. haha!

Holiday Inn is definitely better than Harris Resort. Nicer resort, bigger pool, hot tub juicuzzi, bigger room, just one downside, the bed and pillow is kind of soft which caused me to have a slight backache.

Nevertheless, the trip is enjoyable on the whole. The next place to r&r will be BALI in june!! Yippe!!

size matters?

i just a news on the paper >> "JC boy commit sucide as he thinks that his "manhood" is small" OMG! why does this boy go and do such a thing? does size really matter? is it a guy thing? but gals do not commit sucide if they are flat chested. however gals still can go for plastic surgery, so is there any solution to small manhood?

something for the gals to think about >> size of the ship or motion of the sea??

pillow train

While I was on the way to work today, there is this very interesting and amusing thingy going on in the MRT station. A few people are dressed in striped pyjamas, standing to a box full of pillows! Are they giving out free pillows? Anyway I just head up to the platform to wait for the train. When the train came, the seats and railings are filled with pillows!

Then there is a anoucement on the train : "Welcome aboard to the pilloww train. The pillows are free for you to take. Enjoy the ride." On a closer look at the pillow, there is a purple strip of paper wrapped around the pillow. It was saying it is the pillow week and by taking this strip of paper to Ikea, one will be entitled to free hotdogs and drinks.

My questions are answered...all these are a promotional grimmick from Ikea. But it is rather an unusual way of advertising. ;)

FYI, I did not take any of the pillows. Too big and troublesome for me to carry all the way to office and later bring back home. Maybe they should have start the thingy at the end of the day when people are taking the train home...

EL sale + blade + blythes

.Saturday
Manage to get the invition to go to Estee Lauder sale! Yeah! Well it does not only have EL, it also have Stila, MAC, Origins, Clinque, Tommy etc. There are 2 sessions for the sale so I went for the morning session. The sale starts at 9.30am and my sis and I reached there around 9.45am. But there is already a long queue!! Later I know from the cozycot forum, the earliest person is there since 7am!! Singaporeans are really mad about sales! Below is my loots from the sale. I am quite satisfied with what I have gotten since the stuffs can last me for the rest of the year. Hehe! But dont think that all of it is mine, half of it belongs to my sis...

.Sunday
Finally I went roller blading! The last time i blade was on the CNY bbq with poly friends. However, this time my sis and I just went to the little park behind our block. This new miniature park has just been constructed and it has a badminton court, excerise equipments and a running track. We bladed a few rounds the track and i gave up as my feet went numb (as usual).

Before the blading session, I also found time to dress up my blythes with the clothes my sis got for them in HK.

sydney + tragedy

I was watching this travel programme on Ch 8 last night, is called "inside Australia" and last night they are introducing SYDNEY! I really missed the days that one year in Sydney. There were a lot of fun and laughter (got unhappy times too).

In last night programme, they introduced 3 tourist attraction places. There is this new mid-air walk on top a particular tower where one walks on glass platform. It looks very fun but expensive...hahaha! Next is to Port Stephen - I went there to see dolphins but we were very suay, only manage to spot a few. They also went to the sand dune to ride on the big-wheeled motorbike and hunter valley. But I did not manage to go to either of them. Haha. Me so suan gu. Haha!

In the midst of the programme June sms me because she is also watching the programme. Both of us were lemming to go back to Sydney and reminisce about the good old days. *dreaming*

Back to reality...I heard a bad news a few days back. One of the victims in the recent Bahrain boat tragedy is my sec sch mate. I do not really know him well and I even forget how he looks like! But reading through the press reports, it does really make one feel very sad. :(
