Walk-In-Selection

Supposingly today is the day for our turn to select for the flats for the latest WIS but last night when I went to check for the availability of the flats we like, just as I expected, those we like have all been selected. Sigh!

The moment we got our queue no, we know the chances of selecting our ideal flat is very very slow. Why? Because our queue no is 756!! Why? Because people started queueing up 2 days before and the news of the WIS was only announced on the actual day which is last Fri.

Last Fri, while I was going to work, I saw the HDB advertisement in the train station stating that the WIS is starting on that day. That was 8am. Immediately, I told jackson and he went down to HDB hub to take the queue number. He managed to get the number around 8.40am and our queue number is already 756! WT*&%#@??!! He already reached there so early and yet our number is so far.

How do those people get to know about the news? They have insider info? In the newspaper article, those people told the journalist that they saw the news in the HDB website. WT*&%#@??!! I only gotten the email alert from HDB on that actual day 6am, how is it possible that they saw the news on the webbie??!!

So demoralising...wasted our $10 bucks.... :(

DP superstar + CNY

Hey, dear got 2nd place for DP superstar contest during his company annual D&D. So proud of him. Hehe! He sang 张学友's 当我想起你 in all three rendition in mandarin, cantonese and english. Because of this contest, we have been to Kbox to practice for the past couple of weekends and also burning a hole in his pocket. Singing karaoke during weekends is not cheap at all. We have to pay $60++ for 2 person but we have unlimited singing hours. Hehe!

In contrast to the Project Superstar, DP superstar is also about popularity of the person as the contestants with the most votes will win and the votes were sent through sms. Even though I was not present at the dinner, I managed to get to know the voting number and voted 20 times for him. But...dear gave me the wrong numer...aiyah...if not he might get 1st because the difference between him and the first is 7 votes. But nevermind, he has gotten himself a $1200 taka voucher.

CNY is just round the corner and my company had just announced they are shutting down on the 16th! Yeah! And will reopen on the 26th! Which means I have 9 days of non-working days! Yippe! The bad side is 4 days of my leaves will be deducted. ;)

Prima Dollies 2

cockroach + taiwanese drama

Last night was really drama, both me and my mum were trying to catch a flying cockroach in the living room. Stupid cockroach keep flying around and we were trying to get it to rest on some flat surface, so that we can hit it with the newspaper. Haha! At some point, me and my mum were laughing away, because we were afraid of the flying cockroach, hoping it will not fly into our direction and on another hand, we were trying hard to capture it. Haha!

Finally, it flew and landed on the sofa. I quickly gave it a good smack with the newspaper and at last it is dead. Hehe! Yippe!

These days, me and my sis had been engrossed in watching taiwanese dramas and we totally hooked onto them. First it was 恶作剧之吻 and now is 花樣少年少女. Both shows are adapted from japanese manga and they are super funny! Must see shows!



We even downloaded the OST for the shows. Silly us. Fancy going gaga over 偶像剧 at this age. Haha!

Death Note 2 + wedding

Yeah! Finally managed to watch Death Note 2 last Saturday. The ending is quite shocking and puzzling. Both me and jackson are not able to figure out why L wants to write his own name in the book. Anyone can explain?

I just received a sms from a sec sch friend that he is having his wedding dinner on 30th March. Still wondering whether to go or not. Reasons being ...
1. he is not a very close friend, but we met quite often when I was with my ex-bf
2. duno how will it be like to see my ex-bf again, after (counting)...3 yrs...havnt seen him since that day...
3. will I be out of place there? havnt been contacting those sec sch frenzs for a lagi long time...
4. should I go alone or with jackson? jackson might not want to go too...

But I am happy that he is ready to settle down and he only started to plan his wedding and new home last June! He is such a fast worker. Not like me, till now still havnt find our flat (been looking since last june). Sigh!

2007

5 days into the new year and this is my 1st post of the year. New year's eve was spent partying awaying in Zouk with poly friends. Initally we were at St James but it was dammed crowded so we decided to move to Zouk. In Zouk, we also saw some friends that we have not seen for a long long time - victor, cindy and jazelle. It was fun going clubbing and dancing away, especially with a close group of friends.

Too bad dear was not with me. He was at Pan Pac where his friend had booked a room there to countdown and watch the fireworks. I decided not to join him as I forsee I will be bored over there. Haha. Come to think about it, I have not seen dear in 2007 yet as I was sick after the partying.

Yup sick on the 1st day of 2007. Think is been a long time since I drink, so got gastric upset and I vomited the whole night. Lucky in the morning, the clinic opened and I was able to see the doctor.

Hmmm...so what have I done for the year of 2006....
had all of my wisdom teeth taken out....
went to straighten my permed hair....(but going to perm again)
started to look for flat with dear...
bought 2 new blythe dolls, making my collection to a total of 5...
my colleague left and I have to work together with another new colleague...

Wow...cant think of any thing anymore. Hungry already, time for lunch ;P

xmas 2006

Yeah once again it is the season of giving! Merry Xmas everyone! Well I started celebrating xmas last Thurs.

It was dinner at Jap Dining Sun with poly friends including bfs.
Wanted to go to Sun With Moon but it was fully booked, so they got us a table here.

There is our exchanged pressies, all wrapped beautifully. In the end wynne and me got each other pressies and same goes for Denise and Jiahui.

Oh I received a very special pressie from Jiahui - a handmade calender! Thanks gal, we love it very much!

Saturday was dim sum lunch with uni friends at Imperial Nan Bei Restaurant.

Group photo again before we start to attack the food. The dim sum is good! And the price is reasonable. Each of us paid less than 20 bucks.

There is Jina with Jiahui. Jina is back from Sydney on a 2 weeks break. We only get to see her once a year. Sob Sob. We went for abit of shopping after the heavy lunch in order for our food to digested. Then we settled down at Starbucks for some coffee to rest our tired legs.

I just off the phone with my uni friends. I am suppose to meet them for dinner tonight (going for korean food at Chinatown) but due to work commitments (yes again!), I am stuck in the office trying to clear up my work which kept piling up. I thought things will get better this month but dont know why there is still so much quotes to do. Why the shops cant stop renovating, now is the christmas period leh! Sigh! Other than new quotes, there are still completed projects which I need to sort out for the variation works and a thick file of subcontractor's invoices which I need to certify. Subcontractors had been calling me quite frequently these days, asking me whether I have certify their payment already or not. I always felt quilty putting off the work as indirectly I am delaying their payment. Sigh.

The new guy started work last fri but...he is really green horn, fresh out of the uni, totally unfamilar with interior works. I had a hard time explaining how to do invoicing, getting the subcontractors to quote, doing variation works. Guess it will take him quite awhile to absorb and understand what I am teaching him. *God bless me*

moisturise

Whose feet are those?? Is mine! And why am I wearing socks in the house when Singapore does not have winter? Haha! I just slapped on some lotion to moisturise and smoothen my feet!

Sis brought back the Bath & Body Works body cream from US including the pair of socks. The smell of the lotion is great, with lavender scent. Smells good!
She also bought me a tube of hand lotion and the smell is identical to The Body Shop's White Musk.

Tokidoki + Goodies

Yes! My sis is finally back from her US trip, therefore my long awaited Tokidoki Paradiso Mamma Mia bag is here!! Yippe!
Too happy for words already! But my pocket will burn a hole very soon...

Sis also brought some pocky sticks home. She got them in Narita airport while on her transit back to Singapore. There is milk chocolate, green tea and white chocolate flavour. Just eaten the green tea ones and they are yummy!
