Botanic Gardens

Since it was a long weekend, we decided to have a walk in the gardens on Monday which is the May day public holiday.

Before the walk, we had our late brekkie at Casa Verde. As it was a public holiday, the place was very packed. We queued up to order for half an hour and waited for another half an hour for the food to arrive. Luckily it was a good wait as the breakfast set is good and filling.

Da-De & Jerold

Well I do not whether the little one is a daddy's or mummy's boy. On one hand he is sticky to me, on the another hand he addressed da-de automatically when husband and I came home after work. Or is it da-de is easier to pronounce than ma-me?

Ma-Me & Jerold

In another 3 weeks time, the little one is going to turn TWO! That seems to have happened very fast to me. One year certainly passed by very fast. He just started walking one year ago and now he is going to be two.

I certainly loved taking photos with him. He is so photogenic. However it takes some skill to get him to smile and look at the direction of the camera.

At this point of time, he still do not address me automatically. I would have to tell him to address me "mummy" then he would repeat "ma-me". So sad.

Fun Morning

We went East Coast Park a couple of Saturdays ago. Lucky the weather was good and we set off around 10am. The little one had a fun time there playing with the sand and water. He was not interested in building sand castles but rather enjoyed playing with the sand with his bare hands and watering the sand with the watering can. We definately will be going back there again. But this time round we need to pack in sunblock!

Family Affair

Had dinner with sis and mum last Saturday at Vivocity's 三盅两件. As usual the little one showed off his cheekness to everyone. He was exceptionally good during the dinner, did not fuss a lot. After the dinner, we went to do a bit of shopping then went back home.

Zoo Zoo Zoo

Last Saturday, we made a trip to our Singapore Zoo with a couple of friends. We reached there close to 4pm and had only 2 hours to tour the whole place. Though it was a bit rush, it was still fun as it had been years since my last visit to the zoo. By the way it was the little one first visit to the zoo. Well he was not very excited when looking at the animals. He just stare at them. Haha. Guess he must be terrified by the animals. Haha.

Nandos Nandos

Both Hubby and I were on leave ysterday and today as my parent-in-laws were away for a short trip to kuching. So today we went out and the first venue is a second hand car shop then to Hubby's friend newly opened boutique in Bali Lane.

Since we are near Bugis and it is soon to be dinner time, we headed to Nandos at Bugis Junction. Hubby was raving about the Nandos chicken. That was his fave food when he was studying in Perth.

The deco there is quite mexican. Forgotten to ask Hubby whether Nandos originated from Mexico.

The attendees - Hubby, me and the little one. Since we were out the afternoon, so the little one had no porridge to eat for dinner. We had to order some rice and fed him with that with some soup.

Both of us ordered half chicken with some side dishes. We could choose the level of spiciness for the chicken. We had the lowest level one as we feared it might be too spicy for us. In the end it was not that spicy as we think. On the whole the chicken is tasty, just that half chicken is too much for me and the side dishes are not as good as Kenny Rogers.

Another thing that surprises me is the queue. We were there around 6pm and there were no queue. But around 6.30pm, the queue was formed from the restaurant to outside of the building, amazing!

Birthday Treat

Sis and I were treated to a post-birthday dinner by our little brother. We had dinner at Saizeriya, City Square Mall. This is their second outlet with the first one at Liang Court. They served Italian Japanese food. My brother and sister had great raves about their food. I had their seafood risotto but doesn't quite like it. It tastes like our zhi char's mui fan cooked in tomato sauce. I was quite disappointed. I guess it explains why this outlet was not crowded whereas the Liang Court outlet is often packed.

Birthday 2010 - 080610

So what can 2 ladies and a toddler do on their birthday? We went out shopping! In the morning we head out to Marina Square and met another friend for lunch. Hubby came and look for us during his lunch break.

Coincidentally there was a Doraemon exhibition at the central stage. The little one was happily running around, touching the photos on the wall.

Next, we (a team of 3 gals and a toddler) headed down to Orchard ION for some shopping therapy. The little one was a good boy because he did not make a fuss while sitting down in his stroller. Guess he was busy observing the surrounding and people around him.

Our friend left us for another appointment around 3pm. Then we went to the bakery shop 'Provence' for tea (for us) and milk (for the little one) break.

I lover their breads! Both sis and I had their cinnamon bun and drinks. The bun is good! After the break, we continued with our shopping.

Around 5plus pm, the little one had another break. He had some biscuits and water before we continued shopping. Shopping was fruitless. Did not managed to buy much. I only got a pair of heels and a top.

Next we retreated to PS Cafe at Palsis Renaissance for dinner together with our hubbies. Their food is good too!

We were seated in the outdoor area. Luckily the weather was breezy and there were sufficient fans around.

The birthday gals and their boy / man.

Our food - mine was catch of the day (grilled fish). Sis had grilled steak and BIL had St Louis pork ribs. Hubby had beef steak burger.

Reached home closed to 10pm and the little one was ushered to dreamland. A tiring but happy day.

Illness go away

After the little one recovered from his fever, he passed the virus to hubby and me. Both of us were down with cough and flu last week. So we went to see the doctor last Thursday to get some medicine as last weekend was a long weekend. We wouldn't want to be sick during the holidays.

Then on last Friday the little one developed cough. I believed it was passed back to him from us. Haha. No choice but to bring him back to the doctor again.

I am quite relieved that the little one is very cooperative when it comes to medicine feeding time. He opened his mouth and took the medicine without splitting out. This shows how greedy is he, thinking that is some sweet syrup water. Haha.

Two Years

Our 2nd year wedding anniversary...I totally forgotten about it until I saw hubby's message to me on Facebook. Anyway, we did not planned anything special. Hubby and the little one came and pick me up from my office and we went to have their haircut in the afternoon. Thereafter we went to Bugis for a walk and have dinner at MOF.

[hubby commented that the chicken in this new restaurant is good! When we walked out it, there is a long long queue. Must find a time to come and have a bite]
Happy 2nd Anniversary Hubby!

1st Birthday Party

Celebrated the little one's 1 year old birthday yesterday. Had a small but cozy party at home with all the family members and close friends. The little one was very happy....with people feeding him with food. Haha!

It is delicious despite all the creme. It doesn't taste too oily and one will not get sick of eating it.
