Curious as a Cat

The first thing that little one did after he woke up in the morning was to climb onto the dining chair and try out my headphones. I seldom use the earphones in front of him, so I wonder how he manage to know that they are meant to put on the ears.

Ever since after his 2 year old birthday, the little one seems to improve a lot on his speech. These days he is able to say quite a few numbers of words, for example the following:-

off - 'of'
milk - 'nuke'
sweet - 'sweeet'
fish - 'vish'
star - 'tar'
socks - 'socks'
shoes - 'shooes'
eight -'egg'
vitamin - 'min'
light - 'lite'

I think he achieved quite a fair bit of milestone. So the next milestone for him or rather the parents is to cultivate his learning. Time to hit the bookstores.

I was hoping the little one will not randomly scribble on the walls before deciding to get him a box of crayons. Luckly (under close supervision) he only 'draw' on the paper given to him.

2nd birthday celebration No. 2

The little one had his 2nd birthday celebration with my family at Changi Airport Terminal 3. We had dinner at Earle Swensens and later retreated to Ya-Kun to cut his birthday cake.

2nd Birthday Celebration No. 1

Since the little one's 2nd birthday falls on a Sunday, we bought him a birthday cake to celebrate together with his 表姐, 爷爷 and 奶奶 on Friday. So after work, I rushed down to Secret Recipe and got him a banana chocolate.

TV Manic

The little one is a TV MANIC! The first word that popped out of his mouth early in the morning is "OKTO". Yes yes, it is the TV channel "OKTO". He says "OKTO" better than Ma-Me.

He loved the Sesame Street and Sing-along VCDs. He can watch them over and over again without getting bored. These VCDs were a big help to me last weekend. They got the little one glued to the sofa while I did my housework as hubby was outstationed and I was alone with the little one at home.

I am sure to bring these VCDs on board the flight when we go to Hong Kong this coming July.

Da-De & Jerold

Well I do not whether the little one is a daddy's or mummy's boy. On one hand he is sticky to me, on the another hand he addressed da-de automatically when husband and I came home after work. Or is it da-de is easier to pronounce than ma-me?

Ma-Me & Jerold

In another 3 weeks time, the little one is going to turn TWO! That seems to have happened very fast to me. One year certainly passed by very fast. He just started walking one year ago and now he is going to be two.

I certainly loved taking photos with him. He is so photogenic. However it takes some skill to get him to smile and look at the direction of the camera.

At this point of time, he still do not address me automatically. I would have to tell him to address me "mummy" then he would repeat "ma-me". So sad.

Fun Morning

We went East Coast Park a couple of Saturdays ago. Lucky the weather was good and we set off around 10am. The little one had a fun time there playing with the sand and water. He was not interested in building sand castles but rather enjoyed playing with the sand with his bare hands and watering the sand with the watering can. We definately will be going back there again. But this time round we need to pack in sunblock!

Passport Photo

As I am renewing my passport, I decided to apply for the little one passport too. It is really hard to get the little one to stand straight and smile in front of the camera. Lucky there is a function in the camera that is able to take mutiple shots at a click of the button.
